Assignment Description

We are looking for a Senior Configuration Manager to join a business-critical transformation program within the banking and financial services sector, focused on accounting and reporting in a modern cloud-based environment.

In this role, you will have overall responsibility for configuration, change, and release management within a complex Oracle environment. You will work both strategically and operationally to establish structure, ensure traceability, and drive maturity within configuration management practices.

You will be responsible for developing and improving processes, ensuring that changes are handled in a controlled manner and aligned with established frameworks, while also driving continuous improvement initiatives related to DevOps and delivery quality.

The role involves close collaboration with technical teams, project management, and business stakeholders, where you will act as a key link to ensure stable and efficient deliveries.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a Configuration Manager, Release Manager, or in a similar senior role

• Strong technical background in software development and infrastructure

• Extensive experience working in complex integration environments and large-scale transformation programs

• Deep understanding of modern Configuration Management principles, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD

• Strong hands-on experience with tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Git

• Experience with CI servers such as Jenkins, CloudBees, or GitLab CI/CD

• Strong programming and scripting skills with a focus on automation, including Bash

• Very good understanding of relational databases and SQL, including DDL, DCL, TCL, triggers, views, and stored procedures

• Fluent English, both written and spoken

• Master’s degree in IT or equivalent relevant professional experience

Meritorious

• Proven experience working in Oracle environments (databases, middleware, or applications)

• Experience with version and configuration management of database schemas, for example using Liquibase

• Leadership experience within agile organizations
